Do I have to take investment to work with you?
No. Plenty of our consulting and bookkeeping clients aren't portfolio companies, and plenty of portfolio companies keep their existing accountant. The services stand on their own.
Isn't it a conflict for an investor to keep the books?
It's a question worth asking, and we handle it directly: engagement terms are written down, fees are flat and disclosed, and if you'd rather your bookkeeping sit with an independent third party, we'll tell you so and help you find one.
What stage do you invest at?
Primarily pre-seed and seed, occasionally earlier. We're comfortable being the first institutional money on a cap table and equally happy to follow a lead we respect.
My books are a mess. Is that a problem?
It's the most common way clients arrive. We scope a cleanup as a fixed-fee project, get the history to accrual quality, and then move you onto a monthly close cadence.
How are consulting engagements priced?
Monthly retainer for ongoing fractional CFO and operating work; fixed fee for defined projects like a model build, cleanup, or fundraise prep. You'll have the number before we start.
